I was referred to the company by a friend who had worked there the summer previous (2016). He forwarded my resume, and then about two or three weeks later I received a phone call. We spoke briefly about my availability and about what the job entailed, and we set up a time for a phone interview two weeks later. On the phone interview, I was asked technical questions about CAD software, my experience with it, and how I would handle difficult coworkers or projects. It was all fairly straightforward, and the two men I spoke to were very friendly. I set up a face-to-face interview with them for the next week, and went in for the interview. The face-to-face was more of a meet and greet with the head of the CAD drafting team and the head of the engineering department, and they explained the job to me in more detail, and laid our their expectations for me. I told them I was up to the task, and after that we discussed local events. Later that week (about 3 days later) I received my offer letter, and the next week I completed my background check and drug screening. After all that was taken care of a received another email stating I was officially on board.
