Austin King is a phenomenal recruiter. This is my first experience with a recruiter who genuinely cared about me as a person vs hitting their hiring quota. He showed this through his frequent check ins with me to let me know how things are progressing in the interview process, all the way through the negotiation discussion. I felt like he was advocating for me during negotiations vs just trying to save the company money, which is HUGE. I firmly believe when you invest in your employees (starting with the interview process) and pay them their fair market rate, they are much more likely to be loyal to the company for many many years. Austin is one of the most genuine people and having him be the first point of contact for potential new employees sets the tone for the company culture. Knowing high caliber people like Austin work at Gong makes me all the more excited to join the team! I have nothing to critique about the interview process. Everything was extremely fast and efficient and Austin is a great human. It must be his Midwestern values and work ethic. ;)
