The interview process included four individuals, none of whom introduced themselves or clarified their roles within GMR or its subsidiaries before the conversation. While one participant demonstrated genuine respect and care for the industry, the others conveyed less professionalism: one appeared disengaged and tired of his role, another indifferent, and a third, who was not even employed by GMR, displayed noticeable haughtiness. Additionally, at one point, I was addressed by the wrong name, and follow-up calls that were promised twice never occurred. While I recognize that mistakes happen and processes can take time, the overall experience reflected a lack of respect for candidates’ time and effort. In retrospect, I’m grateful this opportunity did not progress further. It provided valuable insight into the organization’s culture and candidate experience standards. In other words, a blessing in disguise.
