I was an internal referral (which always helps) but went through a thorough process. After speaking with the Recruiter, I was put in touch with the Hiring Manager for the role. The conversation with the Hiring Manager was very casual, but he thoroughly inspected my background, asking detailed questions about projects I've worked on in my (then) current role. He then flew me out to the Bay to do a round of interviews with him, his boss, and a few others, which were very similar. Many of the questions centered around Operational challenges they were currently solving for.

The interview process went extremely well. From the communication with the recruiter to my interactions with each person I interviewed with, I was impressed with the level of professionalism and how kind everyone was.

Phone screen with HR, phone screen with hiring manager, on-site interview with 5 people on the team. Took a bit long since the HR weren't very organized and scheduled me for another HR phone screen after I've already had a phone screen with the hiring manager.
