Took 3 + weeks and several applications to the 4 jobs posted to get an interview. I am a certified and experienced ESL instructor. It seems my interview was akin to a chain processing. It never felt like, in the whole 5-6 minutes over the phone, that the interviewer was invested in me nor my education nor my post-academics nor my experience. It was more like "Can you sub or teach all three days? Which one?" And that was it. I also feel like the 3 day availability versus substituting could be advantageous to list on the job posting rather than waiting a month for an interview to discover this.
They are efficient with interviewing if they want the shallowest of initial screenings. I also never received a return call nor message informing me of a decision. I am not shocked, since I'm being fully honest. Nothing wowed me from the moment I researched the 3.5 rating to this review. Georgia does rank 46th in education and apparently collegiate level hiring is reflective of that sad truth.
