The interview was easy but a little unprofessional. The interviewer had just gotten out of the shower and didn't seem entirely ready – that wasn't really the issue as it felt casual (and sometimes helps to be casual). However, the tone of the interview was serious. Also, from the time I was selected for an interview to the time I was rejected no one from the team/company responded to any of my emails. It was very robotic and I was asked to listen to their podcast ahead of the interview and do other things that didn't seem relevant. Then, very perfunctorily, I was told during the interview I wouldn't qualify (based on something that was already on my CV and could have been screened ahead of the interview). It may seem like I am bitter about the "no offer" but in fact the entire process wasn't very friendly – I spent a lot of time preparing and asking the right questions but wasn't given enough information and also was told in the interview that I won't make it to the next round. As someone who has worked in HR for a while, it is great to let your candidates know as early as possible, but not in the interview itself. After telling me that I was asked if I wanted to add anything or had any questions. There wasn't much I could say after as I wasn't expecting a rejection in the call itself.
