The interview process consisted of three separate, informal conversations conducted via Teams. The first was with the direct reporting manager, followed by a discussion with the direct manager’s C-level leader, and finally a meeting with the team members within the department. Each interview provided a clear overview of the position, the reasons behind the current opening, and insights into what has and hasn’t worked well in the past within the Payroll Manager role. I appreciated how transparent and collaborative the process was, as everyone was candid about the challenges they’re facing and shared their expectations and goals for the person stepping into this role. It was clear that the team is committed to setting the foundation for success.
