I met the current manager at the computer science career fair. To be honest, I did not know much about the company and their product. So I took a flyer that has company/product information while I was waiting in the line. I learned that the company build B2B Software solution that helps their partner company's customer experience (=Customer support/call center). Since my startup in prior to meet this company had a lot of things in common which has the very similar mission and vision to help partner corporate grow by providing fast and quality customer support to their endusers. I was there talking to the manager for 20minutes about the product, company culture and more. After the enjoyable meet, I got an email from The Senior Talent Acquisition Partner in the evening of the same day. Then the next day I had a quick phone call with him that was more like a behavioral interview. Then he helped me set up the technical phone interview with the lead software manager (my current manager). After approximately a week later, I had a phone interview with my manager. He came prepare by going through my resume and github repository. He started to ask me about my project and language, framework I am familiar with. Then he continued with the tech stack his team frequently use and asked conceptual questions. The questions covered from fundamental knowledges to more complex & deeper questions. Once I completed the interview, the offer letter came through in 2.5 weeks. Then I talked with the senior talent acquisition partner for the internship duration and payment rate. Then HR team helped me go through background check and some documentation to get CPT since I am an international student. Overall, the interview was moving quick and I really enjoyed the process and happily accepted the letter.

Shortly after I made my application, I got a call from their HR to organise an interview time. I then had a Zoom interview with their software engineering team. The team was very friendly yet professional. Although I didn't get the job on this occasion I really appreciated how their HR recruiter got back to me quickly with real feedback about my interview, I would happily interview for another role with Genesys.
