Entrevista
The interviewing process is lengthy, comprising of: (1) Phone Interview with Recruiter (2) 1:1 interview with VP of Operation and Human Resources Executive (3) phone interview with area nursing director and phone interview with area executive director.
When you walk in the door, they will have you wait in the waiting area. They will note how you treat the seniors-- do you strike up a conversation with the seniors while you are waiting? Are you pleasant and outgoing?
They have a list of targeted questions that start with "give me a word that best describes you" ("compassionate" is valued more than "hard working") "why are you interested in this job" "tell me a little bit about your job history " then it gets more specific " "tell me a time when you were in conflict with a co-worker and how you handled it" or "give me an example of a patient you worked with who was difficult and explain what you did to address the issue" or "tell me about a person who you supervised who was not doing well, what did you do to intervene/coach/help them and what were the results?"
They are looking for specific anecdotes.- not generalizations. If you deny having conflict then you won't get the job, they want to see your problem solving skills (and believe me you will need them!)
They value "team players" They value flexibility (and you WILL need to be flexible.
They look for volunteer work on your resume-- it shows you are dedicated and will go the extra mile without expecting monetary compensation.
Also, it seems they have problems with people who live far away-- if you live more than 50 minutes away, you MUST somehow work into the interview (if you even get one) how reliable your transportation is, how the commute is no problem- you love to drive etc.

Had a phone, a zoom and then onsite interview. Well organized setup and I was informed of the expectations up front. The onsite interview included a tour of the facility, which confirmed what I had been told. The corporate culture seem to be very welcoming too.
