The Interview process was unnecessarily LONG !!!!
Interview# 1 - Interview w/ Recruiter
Interview #2 - Interview w/Hiring Mgr.
Interview #3 - Interview w/Head of L&D followed by another interview with the Hiring Mgr.
TWO - 75 min Personality Assessments
Interview #4 - Interview w/two additional Mgrs
Interview #5 - Close-out Interview w/Recruiter
I would NEVER go through another process like this to land a job. Recruiter reached out after I applied and was actually very nice. Once she started aligning the interviews, she also sent attachments of info about GM such as their mission and values. She asked me to read up on their current initiatives on their website and blogs and familiarize myself with GM as a whole. I felt like I was prepping for an exam. It was a bit overwhelming to say the least but nevertheless, I prepared. The ONLY and I mean only questions asked were behavioral based. I understand sometimes you will land a position and other times not, but after all was said and done, I received a generic email stating that after careful consideration, they decided to move forward with other candidates whose skills aligned closely with the position. Are you kidding me!!! Total crap waste of time! Looking back, I'm glad I didn't receive an offer...there were a few red flags such as The Director continuously cutting me off mid-sentence and the stoicism of the interviewers.
