I received an interview through my network contacts. Once I started explring a possible position at General Dynamics I was in contact with the hiring manager from the start. He flew me to the corporate headquarters and I had a day of interviews and briefings on the company cpabilities. Once I decided to go with the company I had a drug test and background investigation both of which only took a couple of days. It was less than a week from the time I decided to when I start work. Very smooth process.
