I had a phone interview which led to an in-person interview two weeks later. I got to meet and be interviewed by 5 leads from 3 different departments. We went over my background, experience and knowledge of upstream and downstream processing. There were some behavioral questions. Once I answered all of their questions, they went over the position and gave me an opportunity to ask questions. Overall, it was a good experience. The thought of being interviewed by multiple people can seem intimidating. Be yourself and believe in your knowledge and skills.

Genentech wants people who work well with others and are overall friendly individuals, as you will be put on a shift of about 10 employees if offered the job. It is important that you get along with these coworkers because you will be spending 10-12 hours with one another. The interview process consisted of a panel of 5 managers/supervisors from each shift. They asked questions such as “Why is diversity in the workplace important?” And “Describe a situation when…”
Started with a phone screen with a talent recruiter where they asked basic questions and described the position. The next interview was a panel interview with a few supervisors in manufacturing

First interview was online and was a self recording interview, had about 10 questions, and very general interview questions. Second interview will be virtual with a 7 panel group and time ranging from 20 to 30 minutes.
