      The process was incredibly drawn out. In total I had 7 interview stages consisting of email communication, initial telephone interview, 2 face to face interviews (one with two directors), a further 2 telephone interviews and a final panel interview. Throughout the process I met with eight separate managers and directors. At every stage, I felt comfortable and encouraged to be myself. There is a heavy emphasis on finding out who you are as a person and a prospective employee, not just a number. I found that not much planning was needed through the initial stages as the majority of the questions were trait based. However I was told that my thorough preparation for the panel interview was very much appreciated and set a great first impression. The office is open, fresh and modern looking (as you would expect). There were a plethora of problems with technology for the final interview despite warning in advance that laptop and projector would be needed. The working envronment seemed quite and the office quite empty, but I take this as a good sign. I felt more confident going into the last interview then when I came out! But this would obviously a test of character to see if I could cope under pressure. The feedback given was thorough and open and honestly given when asked for. It's hard to advise how to prepare for any interview with Gartner, although I would say have a clear idea about what you want from the role and what drives and motivates you. If you have definitive ambitions, a desire to exceed your own expectations, and a strong reason as to why you want to be successful, then Gartner are the sort of company that will fit the role around you and help you achieve you dreams.

      Interview process was a joke! The guy that interviewed me said he'd been with the company for quite a while, kept asking the same exact questions for each of my previous jobs. What did you like? What didn't you like? Why did you leave? How did you like your manager? And to top things off, to show how professional this guy really was, he kept checking his phone every 2-3 mins! I've taken and given interviews in the past, but not once have I ever decided to check my phone in the middle of the interview. The guy just seemed to think he was top dawg, but I'm guessing he was just entry level management. Oh yea, and they expected me to give a blind 2-yr commitment to stay with the company.

      Entrevista

      I interviewed for the inside sales rep position in FL even though I was living in the northeast. I had 5 phone interviews with company employees ranging from HR to account managers. Everyone I talked to was pleasant and the interviews were always challenging. However, Gartner was very bad about getting back to me and cancelling interviews on me. I had over 4 rescheduled, ranging from them forgetting to call me to cancelling at the last second. They then would not get back to me on time and would have me do the same interview over again. It was a very tedious process. Finally after my 5th interview (before what would have been the last round), they let me know with a token HR email that they weren't moving forward with me anymore. Two days after they had said they would, and after I hadn't had emails and voicemails returned. So...great company, great sales program, but poor treatment.

      Entrevista

      I first submitted my resume to the recruiter. I then proceeded to be scheduled for a phone screening. After that I was scheduled for a group interview with a few of the sales managers. On that date I also met with the team sales manager for an individual interview. I received an offer letter a few days later.
