Apply with caution. Gameloft has many brilliant teams, but all are at the discretion of their global head office, who call the shots even when jobs are advertised and may be withdrawn after several rounds of interviews. After three successful interviews and many wonderful conversations (both with the local team I had applied for and one of their managers in Paris), I was left stranded for several weeks with no reply. Managed to reach out to a hiring manager, who assured me that the next contact I would receive would be regarding the job offer, as the team were quite impressed with my skills. After a month since the initial interview, I received an email notifying me that the global head office had chosen to withdraw the role entirely and it was no longer available. As you could imagine, this was incredibly frustrating, as I had dedicated a large amount of my own time, efforts, and mental capacity over a month to apply for this role. Sadly, this hiring experience was quite unprofessional and left me feeling as if I was treated as an expendable candidate rather than a human being. This is no disrespect to the local Gameloft teams, as I greatly admire the studio I applied for. However, this is representative of the global management and how this might reflect poorly upon local studios.

My interview process consisted of three stages: a conversation with HR, completing a test task, and an interview with some team members whom I (as I understood) would be working with. The test task was quite extensive – they were definitely looking for someone with solid knowledge and considerable work experience. I went through all three stages, and they took a very long time to provide a final response – nearly two weeks of waiting. Unfortunately, I did not receive an offer.
