MY RECENT JOB INTERVIEW EXPERIENCE: could be helpful for others.
As a foreigner, I applied for the Mechanical Engineer position on the 2nd week of July 2019, since this company hires lot of foreigners & also I had prior work experience in Canadian industries. Applied through LinkedIn & also sent a message to the job poster ( Head of Human Resource) about my interest & similar work experiences.
She replied to me back on the same day, was impressed in my resume and she invited me for a phone interview as she was well aware of my immigration status.
The interview was supposed to be for 15 mins. in the next 24 hrs. I was very excited, prepared all day for the interview. Well, when she called me, I felt like she was in a hurry or rushing, she was using her higher voice tone, almost screaming, she didn't let me finish my answers, rudely interrupted me every time I speak, almost felt disrespectful I don't think she even saw my resume before calling me, afterward she told me this is a short term role (which wasn't mentioned in the job posting) & she doesn't want to hire me.
It completely blocked all my senses, if she doesn't want to hire me then why did she even called me. Total unprofessional for the so-called Head of HR department. The interview lasted only for 5 mins, felt like a fool at the end. At last, she suggested me to apply for a position that requires 3 times more work experience than I have at the moment.
Very unprofessional, would advice others to approach with cautious.
