At first I discussed the technology with the Physics department manager in a comfortable outdoor setting just out of curiosity. As the manager was very eloquent, the time passed quickly and everything was quite interesting and clear. The manager suggested applying, but at the time I was rather passive and not looking for a new position. About a month later I was contacted by the local head of R&D operations and he offered to meet up at an interview. We were joined by the principal engineer. The interviewing process was absolutely pleasant and I received an offer quite quickly. As I was still working at another place, I took a lot of time to ponder what to do next, but as GScan is really fascinating and it resonated with me in multiple ways, I accepted the offer in a few weeks time. No regrets.
