A recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn about the opening and we manually scheduled a time for a call (no automated scheduling tool use). On the call, she told me about the company, the position and answered some of my questions. She said she’d share my info with the hiring manager and get back to me. About two weeks later I got an auto decline emails from their ATS saying the role was filled. I never applied so they must have created an application for me.
