Me postulé en persona. El proceso tomó 3 días. Acudí a una entrevista en GEICO (Poway, CA) en feb 2016

      Entrevista

It started with the online application, then phone interview. 2 days later I went in and did the multi-tasking and typing test which I passed. Then my first in person interview, just like everyone else says, its a bunch of situational questions. The guy was very nice and told me how much he enjoyed our conversation. Then it was time to take some calls from another recruiter acting as a client. I had 25 minutes to read a small packet of paper with information on a fictional insurance company. This was a challenge so i suggest trying to make it fun. You get 3 tries! After that was over, i met the recruiter who made the calls and he had more interview questions for me. He told me that I did great and how much he liked me. They had me feeling good about getting this position! He led me to watch a girl work on the floor. A lady and another gentleman came to get me after about 30 minutes. She explained that she was there to interview me and he was there to just observe. She asked me to give her some examples of the calls that were made and type of situations that the customer service rep handled so make sure to pay attention. She had some more situational type questions for me and then it seemed as if i were going to get offered the job. She showed me all the benefits you receive as a Geico associate, asked if I was okay with the pay she circled on a piece of paper, then asked how i would feel about a 3:30-9:15 pm shift. I told her that i was open to that schedule but would prefer a day schedule. She asked how strong my preference was and i responded pretty strong, i have little ones at home. She right away said she was going out of the room to talk with the gentleman and they would be right back. I knew that is when i messed up. I should've said that that shift would work just fine with me. If you want the job, don't mention kids at home. they eventually came back and told me that they were going to review my info and someone would contact me. the next morning, i called the lady i did the phone interview with to see if i could get an e-mail address for the last woman who i interviewed with. I wrote her a thank you note and let her know that the schedule she mentioned was actually great for me blah blah This was a Friday, and by Monday, with no response, i signed in online where my application was submitted and it showed that right after the interview on Thursday that "I am no longer under consideration"

There are two rounds. The first round is virtual and they ask about your background and if you can handle the process. For the second-round, You will shadow someone for 20 minutes then proceed for a 40 minute interview. There are a lot of situational questions.

Me postulé en línea. Acudí a una entrevista en GEICO (Tampa, FL)

      Entrevista

It was a weird process, first it was on zoom and my interviewer told me to turn off my camera because of the bandwidth issues. Then she asked three questions and provided me the job description and the hours. She then asked me if I was looking for other work and If I was currently working. I did tell her that I am currently working and she told me that I have enough time to provide my current job a two weeks notice. After the interview she told me that she was going to endorse my application for review. Then she sent me another email saying that “Your recruiter will be in touch with you for next steps”. Then in the middle of night not even 24 hrs, I get a generic email saying that I was passed on. I wanted to find out why did I get an email saying that a recruiter was going to contact me, then I passed on from someone else. This was a customer service position and during the interview she told me that I have a lot of experience. I just didn’t like during that interview I was given false hope. I would not recommend applying to this company.
