      Entrevista

      Recruiter contacted me, but did not know a lot about business unit. I mentioned DEI was important to me and he was dismissive, but otherwise a friendly enough conversation. Interviewed with 2 senior directors. No pleasantries, right into STAR questions that had multiple parts and went for entire allotted time then asked if I had any questions as an afterthought. I asked why they enjoy working for Geico because neither of them gave me any background on company or the position requirements , let alone company culture. Overall, seemed to be a perfunctory interview so they could promote who they really wanted so waste of time for me. Don’t post external management positions unless you really are considering outside hires. Also, followed up with recruiter 2x and was told they were still interviewing and would get to me soon about next steps. Never even got a canned email saying they went with other candidates, my skills didn’t match etc. At least give a candidate you interviewed the basic thanks but no thanks. Again, felt like they just wanted to interview me for the sake of saying they interviewed someone else before promoting or maybe, personal opinion, I was the diversity interview.

      Behavioral STAR questions like tell me a time when you had to XYZ and how did you XYZ? also QRS and TUV? Then what about LMNO? Except phrased exactly like that, follow ups were with main question , all at once like they wanted to get it over with

      Got recruited from a LinkedIn message from HR. Pretty standard process - started with an HR phone screen, 30 minute interview with Hiring Manager, and then 3 additional 30-minute interview with stakeholders and teammates.
