No appropriate response. Called the hiring manager, didn't get to continue. No good reason for not continuing the discussion beyond the phone interview. This was years back, so not much to go on when relying on memory.

A 1-hour first-round interview with two people from the company, managers I believe. One seemed mildly disinterested and the other very chatty but overly analytical.
They asked basic questions about my background, we discussed my potential fit at the company, and at least the chattier interviewer was open to answer my questions at length. Potential salary was discussed openly.
The interview was interrupted two or three times by the chattier interviewer having to answer his phone.
The process was quick, one week from application to interview to decision.
Very nice interviewers. People very very positive and presented real caring impression for employees. Tech and company slides were such which you would expect of any modern SW development consultancy.
