Inportant! you have to complete an on-line course and pass the test (costs 50 dollars that you have to pay yourself" before you application will be considered complete. And the deadline to have that done is sometime in June before the school year begins. After that date, they really don't hire new subs until the next year.
The application is extremely long and very detailed. They wanted details that no other employees has ever asked me. For example, not only did they want verification of my college degree , but they want your official transcripts listing all the classes you took.
Another annoying thing is that you are required to email all your former supervisors for all your jobs a long referral form for them to fill out online and send to Fulton County. Until all of them do, then your application is still incomplete. I had two former supervisors who were too busy to want to fill out Fulton County's long online referral form on me . . . and it was awkward for me to have to keep calling them and asking them to do it.
You can go online to check the status of your application at any time, though, and there is a checklist that tells you which sections are considered complete and which ones they are still waiting for information about.

There is no interview. If you can pass the class and get the long tedious application process completed, then you will get an email letting you know if you are accepted or not. If you are, then you are given a date to attend a large group orientation seminar and get fingerprinted for your background check. When your background check clears, you get your handy dandy official employee badge with your picture on it. Then you are ready to log into the Substitute Services web site with your employee number and see what sub jobs are available. Then click on the ones you want to take.

I applied online and they sent me an email for a background check to be hired without any interview about 4 months later. I was surprised at how easy, but it might have helped that I used to work for them and am a certified teacher.

Initial interview five years ago was by Assistant Principal at nearby school. Then I spent a day in training. The training regarding classroom management was not that helpful
I think this process has been changed and hopefully improved.

Entrevista
There was no interview process because I went directly to the school in which I was applying for and they endorsed me to speed up the process. If you are in search of a job right away, I suggest you go directly to the school and set up a meeting with the Asst. Principal or Principal if you can. If not, stay on top of your paperwork by calling the county.
