      Entrevista

Process includes a situational judgement test, a psychometric test and a video interview. If you pass all this they then consider you for a place at an assessment centre. I was informed around 2 months later that I was invited to the assessment centre. I am unable to attend this however as Fujitsu for some reason don't reimburse travel costs. This is quite strange to me as they are a big global company, and the assessment is in Berkshire which isn't the easiest place to get to. Really disappointed that I had to decline based on the fact that I can't afford the expenses and Fujitsu are too stingy to cover expenses - I would be travelling from the North East and the cost of a train ticket and accommodation is far more than I can afford. Sadly it seems that Fujitsu are biased against anyone who isn't either rich or living in the South.

Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 3 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en Fujitsu (Manchester, Inglaterra) en feb 2023

      Entrevista

The application process was quite quick and straight forward. It consists of 5 stages which are all completed online: initial application, strengths-based assessment, video interview, assessment day and the final interview. I applied for the role in January 2023, and was sent a request to complete the online assessment the same day, the video interview in 3 days from the initial application, the assessment centre in 23 days, and was invited for the final interview 24 days from the initial application. Overall Fujitsu were very quick to progress through the stages of application compared to other companies which is great. The strengths based assessment was pretty standard as is usually the case with graduate roles and had average difficulty. The video interview was also quite straight forward. It asked questions to learn more about me as a person, my experiences and what I know about the industry/Fujitsu. The online assessment centre was a great experience and I was able to build a rapport with other candidates and colleagues. I was able to learn more about Fujitsu and what life would be like as a Fujitsu employee. We had the opportunity to speak to some colleagues from the previous graduate cohort at Fujitsu, ask questions and learn more about the future of a career at Fujitsu beyond a graduate role. There was a monitored group task to be completed, this was a very fun experience to get to know a few of the other candidates and demonstrate teamwork and communication skills. The assessment centre also consisted of a presentation which I prepared in advance and delivered alone. Overall the assessment day was well coordinated and was a great experience. Shortly after the assessment centre (3:30PM the same day), I was invited to the final stage interview the next day. Despite being given less than 24 hours notice and having my graduation ceremony the following morning, I happily agreed to attend the final interview due to my passion for the role. The interview was carried out on a one to one basis, with a second interviewer present to observe. The interview went very well and I built a rapport very quickly with both interviewers, who were very friendly. The interview consisted of questions to learn more about my past experiences and when/how I have used my various skills. Overall the interview went very well and felt more like a natural conversation with the interviewer rather than a Q&A. After the interview, the interviewer advised I should hear back from Fujitsu by early the following week and almost seemed confident that I would receive an offer. This is where it goes downhill - I did not hear back the next week, or since. The online candidate self-service portal shows my application is under consideration (despite the role being scheduled to start earlier this month). I have tried to contact the recruitment team and have simply been ignored. This is very unprofessional especially from a company like Fujitsu. Although the application process went very well it is understandable (yet disappointing) if I am not the right fit for the company. However, after spending hours of my time progressing through and completing the final stage of the application process, it is expected I would receive some form of feedback - or at least a decision from the company, rather than being ignored!
