During my initial video interview, I found the experience to be unprofessional. The recruiter appeared on camera in very casual attire and mentioned they would remain off video for the conversation. Throughout the discussion, my background and work history were repeatedly misrepresented, despite the information being outlined clearly on my resume. Additionally, I was told that two internal candidates would “of course” be prioritized, which gave the impression that external candidates were not being given equal consideration. A few hours later, I was informed that the hiring manager had decided to move forward with other candidates. Overall, the process left me questioning the organization’s approach to candidate experience and professionalism in the hiring process.
