      Entrevista

Overall a comprehensive interview. I was screened by an HR rep, then went through 4 rounds of interviews, including an "audition" that I was told would be paid, but in the end was not. Initially, I was thrilled. It seems like a great company, and they spent a lot of time discussion culture and transparency, including having me speak with the Chief of Staff who focused entirely on culture and ensuring we were the right fit. It was in the last round of interviews that things went sideways. After turning in my audition work, I received no feedback at all. I then received a generic email from the HR rep with times for additional interviews with no context for whom I would be speaking with. When I got on the call, I was informed that the person I was interviewing with was who I would be reporting to, and that person had also just started at the company, I was told something different in the first interview and had not been given any updates throughout the process of a shift. When the offer came, it was for a position lower than the role I had been interviewing for. The job wasn't being given to someone else, but I would need to get further training to prove I could do the Director job before being promoted to it. When I continued to push for rationale for the shift, I was told there was an added technical dimension for the job that wasn't in my background. That technical element was not in the original job description and I wasn't provided with an updated job description. Ultimately, talks fell apart and I did not take the job. The job was posted again within 24 hours of not taking the role, again at the Director level and without the additional technical scope. My initial excitement about how the company handled culture and transparency didn't end up holding water when it came to the offer and audition experience, and in the long run, I believe it was for the best that it didn't work out.
