      My advice to prospective candidates: stay far, far away. The interview process was generally smooth – intro phone interview > onsite > onsite #2 (which required a presentation) > onsite #3 (final interview w/ CEO). Everything was going very well up until this last stage. My interview with the CEO at Forward was unlike any interview I had ever been a part of before. I was warned that it would be "intense," but assumed this just meant that he was extremely passionate about what he did and would be asking difficult questions about Forward and its mission. To my surprise, his questions were relatively soft – probing into why I was interested in the company, where I saw myself in 10 years, what questions I had for him, etc. Also to my surprise, every answer I provided to these (seemingly) innocuous questions was met with an unbelievable level of condescension, disrespect, and lack of basic human manners. He made me feel incredibly small every chance he got, and seemed to deeply enjoy doing so. When a candidate leaves their very final interview at a company, the hope is that they walk away with a renewed sense of excitement, energy, and passion for the role they've applied for. I left my final interview at Forward with tears in my eyes and a strong desire to withdraw my candidacy immediately, despite pouring hours and weeks into the interview process up until this point. While an extremely negative experience, I'm immensely thankful that I had the chance to meet the CEO before accepting an offer here. As a recruiter, I could not imagine having to put my candidates in front of this guy before extending an offer and, honestly, would likely have refused to do so out of respect for jobseekers (who are already stressed enough and who have likely taken time out of their workday to be here). My advice to Forward: don't subject your candidates to this kind of treatment. It is absolutely unacceptable and will, without a doubt, hinder your ability to effectively grow this company.

      The interview process is extremely long and they are not transparent about pay/what role you're interviewing for. First round was a 30 min interview, 2nd round was 2 30 min interviews, and final round was an in person interview with 4 different people that lasted for 2 hours and I had to complete an assignment beforehand that took 4 hours. They were not transparent at all about compensation and I did not get good vibes from about the culture. Seems like you either drink the cool-aid or you don't and if you aren't willing to work 60+ hours a week and get underpaid then you will be outcasted or made to feel as if you don't support the "mission". Explains why most of their staff are new grads.

      Entrevista

      Forward has multiple rounds of interviews - up to four sessions total. The first is a screener where they share about the company and asks you general questions. The second round was with three separate members of their team. It felt very conversational and they were more interested in getting to know you beyond your resume. Overall, they're pretty streamline and informative with the process. They will send you a link to set up preferred dates, and provide a timeline. Their emails are helpful with receiving reminders, and who exactly you'll be talking to.
