Me postulé en línea. Acudí a una entrevista en Forever Floral (Ogden, UT) en nov 2021

      Entrevista

It was the worst interview I've ever had. When I was offered the interview the woman, Karta replied to my emails within minutes and seemed really nice. The interviewer took one look at me and I knew I wasn't being hired. She had me sign in on a clipboard and began to walk off. She then turned and said rudely, are you coming? She hadn't asked me to follow her so why would I do that. She sat me at a table with a vase of a dozen flowers and told me to put them together and she would be back to check on me. I made a bridal bouquet and I thought it looked great. There was no direction about what she wanted but there were bouquets all around me so that's what I made. She came back 5 mins later and said I'd be notified if I'd have a callback. She didn't ask me anything about myself. I tried to tell her how much experience I have and how much I wanted the job on the way out but I knew I wasn't getting it. I started crying when i left. It was horrible to be treated that way. I think my age made her not care about my interview but it could have been my race. I dont know. It was something to do with my appearance. It was such a letdown. I would have been excellent at the job. It really hurt me. The interview is you guessing what she wants and being looked down on. Which is crazy because the job is following a photo. You put together a floral arrangement and make it look exactly like the photo so why play games with people in the interview? It would make more sense to have a photo there and the flowers needed to put the piece together to see if they can actually do the work. Its like they're looking for a psychic rather than a florist. But their ad actually said no experience necessary and makes it sound really easy like anyone can do it. I'm sure tons of people have gone in with no florist experience and been made to feel horrible. I have years of experience and was treated like the bouquet I made was crap. It's such a bad way to interview people. Its not a real interview. It's a test that doesn't really make sense for what they're needing. And I'm saying the interview was very difficult because no direction is given so you're just guessing about what they want and hoping you're right. Making the bouquet is easy but not knowing if they even wanted a bouquet is ridiculous. I'll never even be a customer after that. You eont treat people like that. I've done hundreds of interviews in my life and I've never treated anyone that way. I always wanted them to walk away feeling good about the company and the interview even if I wasn't hiring them.

      Pregunta 1

I wasn't asked a single question. It was so degrading.
