Entrevista
I walked into the store and asked if they were hiring and they said yes and gave me an application. I brought it back about and hour later after filling it out and the person I handed it to said they would be giving interviews in a few hours and asked me to come in. So obviously I did. I came a few minutes early and was asked to look around. Someone finally came and got me and directed me to a place in the store were two other people were waiting. They asked me a few scenario questions and we all took turns answering. They explained a few things and asked if we had any questions or schedule restrictions. I could barely hear them over the music, I don't know if that was part of the interview or not but in my opinion was a bad idea we couldnt hear each other. She and the other lady said they would be reviewing applications and give us a call back. It doesn't sound very promising but I always try to stay optimistic. One of there questions was what we would do if we heard gossiping. I said it should always be avoided but if it was something drastic ( like she was stealing or something urgent) they should tell a manager because we can't do anything, and then include something positive ( she has always covered my shifts). Then one of the interviewers asked the manager what she would do and she gave me a bug eye and said WHAT YOU SHOULDNT DO IS JOIN IN, WE NIP IT IN THE BUDD. Thats the only thing I think I did wrong. It was two teenagers from highschool and me with retial expierence. Seemed like we would all get hired because it was for tax free weekend.

Like every other store, we have a loss prevention team. What would you do if you saw two customers trying to steal? They split you up and had you running every were and you saw one of the items were gone.
One of our policies is that we make no exceptions for taking things off of the window Manichean's. What would you do if a customer told you they want that specific shirt? They have looked all over the store and cannot find it.
It was an in-person interview. It was very easy, and a standard retail interview. lasted around 10 minutes. The manager asked some scenario questions but overall, the questions were pretty straightforward.
It was a casual group interview. I sat down with a manager and another girl who was applying. They just asked a few standard questions about us and our experience.
Interviewer did not seem very experienced. He was rushing the interview and only asked general questions such as where do you see yourself in 10 years… for an entry level job.
