      Interview process not handled in a professional manner. Phone interview took place on a Tuesday and was promised a follow up call no later than the Friday to let me know if I was successful in making it to the second round. A week later on the Wednesday, I sent an email to the lady who I had the phone interview with and asked her if there was any update. To which, I received an email stating that last week she had discussed my application with the hiring manager and that they decided not to move me to the next level as there were more suitable candidates. However, they wanted to put my application on hold until the other candidates were interviewed first before they would let me know (I assume in case these candidates did not work out). To which she explained that they got on great with the other candidates and would not be proceeding with my application. As a HR professional, I am utterly disappointed by this treatment. I have no doubt that had I not got in touch I would have not received an answer back from this company. Also, putting my application on "hold" until they interviewed more suitable candidates is not very nice to hear. It is understandable that I may not have been the right fit, but to put someone on 'hold' in case the other candidates would not work out and then to proceed with saying they worked out well and forgetting to follow up with me with is totally unacceptable.
