The initial call was very nice, although a bit short, so there's not room for many questions, the interviewer was great. At first, I was going to be interviewed by someone else, but then they changed my interviewer since the first one couldn't make it. Not a problem. They had a positive energy overall in the process, which makes you feel comfortable from the very start. My problem came with the portfolio presentation. At first, I was going to be interviewed by a single person. But then the day of the presentation, we had to wait a few minutes for another person who had to join in (They never mentioned it beforehand). Not only did this person joined late, but it also seemed like they weren't paying attention. I could hear them giggling at something else and asking me to repeat a few times just because they weren't focused, as well as making me skip my whole introduction to my design process just to get to the points they wanted. Followed by a negative assumption about my process. Of course, they're going to say that "They don't see me quite involved in the UX process" if you make me skip that part... Overall, even if your presentation is not the best, you shouldn't gut your candidate's presentation like that. And instead, decline it but provide constructive criticism of where you feel they failed and where they could improve. This makes a whole difference in the hiring process, whether you're not given an offer.
