Me postulé a través de un reclutador. El proceso tomó 4 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en Fonoa (Londres, Inglaterra) en sep 2022
Entrevista
The whole process took more than a month. And I was really inspired about the company and it's process.
But at the end my experience turned out to be completely NEGATIVE.
Interview consisted from several stages.
1. Screening with recruiter. Around 30 minutes.
2. You're asked to answer 3 questions via email. Those are passed to the team for review. Makes sense to me - and it's non-standard approach for sure.
3. Meet with team members. Takes around 1 hour. 2 folks from existing team asking questions related to experience. I liked talking to both. Feedback was positive so I moved to next round.
4. Technical task. You're asked to implement kind of proxy solution which should meet specific requirements and SLA. And no limit in time. I would say this part is fully ok and really checks knowledge. I received feedback after 2 days - it was positive.
5. Behaviour interview. Took a bit more than an hour. It was related to how I behave in different situations and within different circumstances. We talked really well. I was said - feedback will be within 48 hours.
What happened next? I was waiting for a week, but got no feedback. Then I've emailed back couple times , contacted via LinkedIn and telephoned - got no response at all - full ignore.
That's not PRO attitude at all. If there is any reason to reject - it's easy to ping back and reject. But silence...
Sorry, but it's waste of time. Be very careful before you join the process.

Pregunta 1
Tell about the conflict situation you had. And how did you behave there, how resolved.

Entrevista
Fonoa has one of the best interview processes I had the chance to join.
Each stage has clear expectations and there is a lot of flexibility about when to schedule each of them.
The first stage was a phone call with the recruiter, just to collect some basic info and share some information about the company and stages.
The second stage is to write a short email to evaluate the communication skills required for the async remote operation at the company.
The third stage was a technical interview, where we discussed some topics based on my previous experiences and general system design concepts.
The fourth stage was a home tech assignment to build a proxy API from scratch.
There is no limit on time to finish the assignment, and the requirements were very clear.
The fifth stage was an interview with the CTO. In this interview, we discussed some decisions and comments I've made on the challenge and also some general behavioral questions. There was also time for asking questions about the company
The sixth, last stage, was a call with one of the co-founders. During the call, I had the chance to more ask questions about the company and answered some questions about my working preferences and how I see the connection between business and tech.
