So the “selection process” started with an easy-peasy first round — send an audio clip and talk about my recent experience. Cleared that, then had a virtual interview. She was all sweet, asking about my experience, my resume, blah blah, and even told me the job budget, which was good.
Next, she handed me an assignment to make a video explaining something. Fine, did that. Then came another mail saying, “Final interview tomorrow!” But guess what? The “final” interview wasn’t final. The person shows up on video call took the whole interview and says, “Come to the office for the real final interview.”
So I go. Another person grills me first, then I wait 30–40 mins for the same person who took my interview yesterday to interview me again. That makes it six rounds total. SIX. And in the “grand finale” the person suddenly tells the ctc way less than the budget which was discussed with me and asks if I can join immediately. I say yes.
And then… drumroll… exactly 10 minutes after leaving the office, I get a rejection mail.
I’m totally fine with being rejected — but seriously, what was the point of dragging me through six rounds like it’s India’s Got Talent? If you can’t make up your mind in the first two rounds, at least stop wasting people’s time and energy. Save your time, save the candidate’s time, and stop pretending you’re running NASA recruitment.
