Holy Moly the process can't get any worse or unprofessional than this. I was contacted by a recruiter and we scheduled a 1/1 telephone call to discuss the role and my skillsets. The call went pretty normal though the recruiter was pretty obvious to some of the more specific questions that I was asking him. He then told me that he will reach back out to me in a few days letting me know the next steps or if they want to go in a different route. Ok Great. A week went by and no call. I sent a follow up email and no response. At this time, I assume that they went with a different candidate and didn't felt the need to let me know. Which is fine... some companies still do that to candidates if they're not in contention anymore. What gets me is the recruiter reached out to me two 3 weeks after the fact and asked if I was still interested in the position, and if I was, he wanted men to talk to his TA Director. I responded in two hours that I was still interested. He didn't respond. I responded to him a few days later with a follow up email for the call with his boss and yet no response. If this is the company's way of keeping candidates "warm" it failed miserably.
