I had a number of interviews with secretly different people, all of whom were lovely. But my last interview was with the CEO, who belittled my previous experience and suggested I made poor choices because I hadn’t stayed at the same company my whole career. I think he was trying to be a tough interviewer and make sure I was committed but it came off as insulting and made me feel that my experience wouldn’t be valued. I’d all but received a formal offer when I withdrew.
