After the email application, I was selected to undertake two ability tests: one focused on Excel skills (1 hour, not very difficult in my opinion) and the other on a very simple case study about the recommendations for a purchase of a number of branches (some research is required during the hour given).
I found obsolete the way the test were administered: an email sent at the arranged time, to be replied within an hour.
Then, I have been invited for a phone interview, mainly based on the results of the above-quoted tests and a deeper analysis of the case study. Finally, usual questions on motivation for the role and the company.
I found the interview quite difficult because they expect I would have revised the case study more accurately in order to discuss it on phone and a deep knowledge of banking business strategy. I expect some competency based questions and I prepared for them wrongly. I also admit to have seemed a bit untidy in my speech and not enough fluent for their standards.
I can't blame them for having chosen other candidates, I just would have appreciated they would have listed the topics of the interview in the invitation letter, as it is usual in the recruitment process.
To conclude, Finalta is a very specialised company, perfect for banking passionate graduates. Just prepare very well to discuss specific case studies with adequate background
