I set up an interview/meeting, as directed, through Abar's hubspot link for Nov 14th. I received a confirmation email with a Google Meetup link for the time that I scheduled. Time for the Interview: While I was sitting in the waiting room, I checked to make sure communication devices on my side were good to go. When Abar came in to the meeting, I couldn't hear him, so we didn't have the interview; however, he told me he'd send me the link to set up a new meeting and that if it didn't work next time then we would have the meeting by phone. The next day, the 15th, I still hadn't received a new link, so I went back to the original link and set up a new meeting for the morning of the 16th. However, this time the confirmation email came back with a different time than what I had chosen. It said the meeting was for the afternoon of the 17th. Surprise: On the 16th, I get an email reminder letting me know that I have a meeting in a half hour (the original time I had set). Accordingly, I cancelled the meeting for the 16th, and, when I did, it said I had cancelled the meeting for the afternoon of the 17th. Starting to Get a Feel for the Culture: Immediately after the cancellation, realizing that there was something wrong with Abar's Hubspot / Google Meet integration, I sent him an email explaining things and attached a screen shot of the confirmation email showing the meeting was set for the afternoon of the 17th. I waited through the 17th and after receiving no reply, I contacted him through the original message asking him if he was still interested in having an interview. No reply. My Conclusion: The negative reviews here on Glassdoor fit Abar's profile exactly.

Interview never happened. Matt Abar, the person who was supposed to interview me and CEO of FinFolio, stood me up not once but twice. Makes you wonder about the company culture.
I really wanted to be part of this company and grow.
I email him the first time after he never showed up. Dead silence, no reply. Two months later I receive an email from Matt saying that he never heard back from me and asking if I am still interested. I reply I am and that also there was probably miscommunication between us. I am trying to keep it friendly and civil. Second interview day comes, and I am left stood up again.
Waste of hope and time during the struggle that is the pandemic.

I am sorry about your bad experience with us--this is my fault and I apologize. It was unintentional and not a reflection of your skills or resume. We are currently hiring if you want to give me another shot.
