      Entrevista

Overall, the process was well organized and the interview team was professional throughout. Communication was clear, scheduling was efficient, and each conversation focused on a distinct aspect of the role, including leadership, operational excellence, security, engineering, and AI strategy. The interviewers were engaged, respectful of my time, and gave me a good sense of both the position and the company culture. One thing future candidates should know is that the interview format is designed to allow candidates to demonstrate impact, achievements, technical depth, leadership style, and interpersonal skills within relatively short sessions, many of which are only 30 minutes long. Preparation and time management are therefore extremely important. My advice would be to get into relevant examples quickly and be intentional about how you use the available time. In my case, I had previously worked with one of the interviewers, and part of the conversation naturally drifted into discussing our shared history and past experiences. While the conversation was enjoyable and helped establish rapport, it also consumed a meaningful portion of the interview. Looking back, I would have redirected the discussion toward examples that better showcased my qualifications for the role. More generally, candidates should avoid spending too much time on small talk, as the format leaves limited room to fully communicate the breadth of their experience. My only criticism is that some of the feedback provided after the process felt somewhat subjective and was difficult to reconcile with the scale and scope of experience discussed during the interviews. I would have appreciated greater transparency around the evaluation criteria and a clearer opportunity to address any concerns before a final decision was made. As with many high growth companies, some aspects of the evaluation process felt influenced by the organization's current stage of maturity and its evolving view of leadership requirements. My impression was that there was significant emphasis on cultural and stylistic fit, which is understandable for a company at this stage, though it may occasionally come at the expense of fully recognizing the value of experience gained operating at larger scale or through different phases of company growth. These are natural challenges for rapidly growing organizations, and I expect the hiring process will continue to evolve as the company scales and its leadership needs become more clearly defined. Despite that, I came away with a positive impression of the company and the people I met. The process was thoughtful, challenging, and gave me a strong appreciation for the caliber of talent and leadership at Figma. I would encourage future candidates to prepare concise examples, focus on measurable impact, and make the most of every minute available during the interview process.
