Process took around a month and a half. Recruiter emailed me within 2 days of applying for a phone call. The phone call begins with the recruiter explaining the LEAP program. They will then ask you questions on your resume. Be prepared to explain your project and your experience in javascript, sql, and java. If you have projects or experience in other languages they may ask about that too. Then asked me some trivia on the 4 pillars of OOP, how I used the concepts in my projects, the software development life cycle, and if I had used agile and give a basic overview of it. Finally they closed off with some behavioral questions about teamwork. Recruiter told me at end of the phone screen that I passed and she will contact me for the next interview. I got an email the next day to schedule the next interview. The interview was with a principal SWE at Fidelity. It felt like an interrogation even though the developer was nice. Know how to explain your projects and internship experience in detail and know the technology you used in detail. I had docker on my resume because I used it on a project and my interviewer asked me very specific questions on it. The rest of the interview went like this: -Know OOP trivia and trivia in the languages you are familiar with. They will focus on java, sql, and javascript but if you have a lot python projects like i did they'll ask you python trivia. -Explain a project where you used OOP and how you used the concepts. -I was then asked to create three basic SQL queries. Know JOINs, ORDER BYs, and DISTINCT. -Next was a Leetcode-type easy question on a notepad. Harder than fizzbuzz but easier than a good amount of Leetcode questions. Made a small mistake but recruiter said it was okay. You can use any language or pseudocode. -Finally we had design questions. Imagine you were developing software for a grocery store. Explain how you would build a database to store that information. Then an object oriented design/UML question on designing a parking lot. The interview lasted around an hour. A lot of the other glassdoor reviews are accurate on the type of questions they ask you. Around 2 weeks later my recruiter texted me for a phone call where I got the offer. Overall, the recruiter was really nice and had good. transparency. The interview questions themselves weren't difficult but there is a wide breadth of things you need to know and explain. Also know how to talk through things. There is room for small mistakes like forgetting syntax.
