      Entrevista

This company is really something . The experience was not only dehumanizing, but organizational culture is undisciplined. Backed out of Europe, one of the interviewers barley spoke English and was expected to judge me on my last round. The first round requires you to take an online IQ assessment. They constantly repeat that they want to "see how you think". The second round you speak with a manager, and the third round they expect you to complete an entire financial model and a presentation. One of the interviewers in my final round asked very thoughtful, analytical questions about ticket/event sales. The other interviewer could have just been dropped off from Mars because thats how little they knew about what was really going on during the process. I think the most frustrating thing about this entire process, is that they constantly reached out to me and asked me to complete the assessment and move to the next level, even when I wasn't comfortable doing so- but I thought hey, they really like my skill set and that's why they're reaching out? I'm in consulting with 5+ years in IT, product management, and business operations. I'm an MBA candidate and throughout the process I reiterated multiple times that I don't have an events background. They mentioned in the job description and throughout the process that they wanted someone who has a background in consulting and not an events planning background. I told them my expertise is at the intersection of the IT, business and the customer experience (UX/UI). They told me they really liked my analytical background and that my background in product strategy, project management, and analysis is what they're looking for. Which is why I kept being pushed through the process. Come time for the presentation- and I'm bombarded with questions about brand revenue, marketing revenue streams, collaborations etc. I had stated before that I know very little (social media is my exposure to brand marketing) about the entertainment industry. I did a 10 slide presentation about an immersive experience with all of my data coming from publicly accessible sources only to be picked apart about very specific questions regarding the entertainment industry. They kept saying they don't expect candidates to know about Fever usage data, but when got upset when I used metrics from similar experiences/sources. I mentioned that my financial model, and presentation was all based on the requirements of the assignment and that again- both the job description and hiring manager had agreed this was a PM role and not an event planning role. I love a good challenge which is why I went through with this interview process- and I don't mind constructive criticism either (one of the interviewers who the regional manager asked very insightful questions, the other PM didn't have a clue on how to interview candidates) but what I don't appreciate is being told "we love the way you think and we want to get to know you more and your analysis thought process" and then being asked tons of questions about very specific event and entertainment industry related experiences. I tried my best to answer all of these questions, but at the end of the day I think they want to pay someone the rate of a PM role, but don't want to pay someone who has experience in branding, marketing, finance, entertainment, social media management etc under their belt- because that would be very expensive. All in all, I hope this company realizes to ask candidates for exactly what they're looking for so folks aren't wasting their time taking tests, making presentations and financial models.

Long! Six rounds with phone screens, psychometric testing, case interviews, all before meeting anyone I’d potentially work with. Talent Acquisition was quick to respond, kind, and professional, but for the process felt long winded and excessive.

My experience was disappointing. Communication was almost nonexistent. The process relied entirely on a complex psychometric test, and after completing it, I only received a brief rejection with no feedback or explanation.

briefly asked about my academic background and previous roles, but without going into much depth
