Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 3 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en Fender Musical Instruments (Hollywood, CA) en sep 2019

      Entrevista

Sit tight, this may be long. About 2-3 weeks ago, I had a 45 minute phone interview with Fender regarding the QA Analyst intern position. It went great, so they scheduled an in-person interview with me about 5 days after my phone interview. During the in-person interview, I met 6 people from the team and had about 15-minute interviews with each of them. On Friday, I received a call from the recruiter and she said the team loved me and would love to have me on board for the internship. She discussed some background check and drug screening details, confirmed my schedule with me, and told me to "come in on Monday for a new hire orientation." Keep in mind, she did not specify which Monday, she just said to come in on Monday. She said she would email me shortly with more information. I waited, and never received an email. My commute to Hollywood is about an hour, and I decided to take the train that following Monday. When I arrived at Fender, I asked the receptionist about an intern orientation, and she said she had no idea about it and that she would get back to me after checking with the recruiter. I waited outside for about 30 minutes, and the receptionist told me to come back next Monday because my paperwork wasn't ready yet. Pretty bummed out since my commute is long and I took the train, but I understood and went back home. Later, the recruiter emailed me and said that they were not offering the position to me anymore. No explanation, just a simple email stating that they were not looking to offer it to me anymore. I called the recruiter, she did not answer so I left a confused voicemail looking for an explanation. I also emailed her, with no response. It was highly unprofessional to string me along then pull the offer out from under me. I've never heard of a big company doing something like this. Fender seems to have no regard for people who sacrifice their time and money for them. I have a feeling I will be ghosted by the company. Even though I understand it was a verbal offer, the recruiter told me to come in for a new-hire orientation, which I felt pretty much solidified that I was hired. It would be nice to at least receive an explanation, but I've heard nothing from them so far.
