I had a phone interview with Fender's in-house recruiter in 2015. Everything went well and I felt good about our friendly conversation. The recruiter ended the interview by telling me that he would let me know even I was rejected and "wouldn't leave anyone in the dark". I got a follow up email a couple of weeks later letting me know that I was still a candidate. It's been almost a year and that was the last communication I got from Fender. I sent a follow up inquiring about the job and the recruiter never responded. I can handle not getting a job. Being left to wonder what happened on the other hand has left a bad taste in my mouth.
