Me postulé a través de una agencia de empleos. El proceso tomó 1 semana. Acudí a una entrevista en Fednav

      Entrevista

I was contacted by a recruitment agency, after which I met with Fednav HR (video meeting due to the restrictions of the pandemic). The interviewer was essentially just going through my work history and verifying the dates of my employment. That surprised me greatly, as I did not feel I had any opportunity to actually present myself in terms of my skills and the value I can bring to the table. Another thing that surprised me was that the interviewer was not making eye contact with the camera, which created an effect of talking to someone who was looking elsewhere. It was odd and unsettling to be conversing with someone that way. At the end of that conversation I was asked to take several psychometric tests, which I completed. The recruitment agency informed me a few days after that Fednav HR decided to not go forward with my profile in the context of the high calibre of other applicants. It would have been helpful to see the results of the tests that I took, even if I was told they didn't weigh into the hiring decision. Three months after the position was posted, it still shows as open despite the job description listing a set of skills and responsibilities that seems to be quite standard for an experienced EA. This is clearly not a job for a newbie, and I would think all candidates interviewed would be able to demonstrate their ability to do the job effectively. The HR person I met with is fairly new in her role with the company; I imagine it may be challenging to prove herself by finding the 'perfect fit'. But unicorns simply do not exist. The positive aspect of the process was fairly quick turnaround and clarity of communication (i.e. there wouldn't be an interview with the hiring manager)
