Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 3 días. Acudí a una entrevista en FedEx (Memphis, TN) en mar 2011

      Entrevista

I started off with a phone interview with a rep from EMC who I guess is like a head hunter of staffing consultant. Pretty basic and he was probably reading from a script. Next he had a company in Denver call me to verify my technical skills. The man introduced himself as a Unix Administrator with 25 years experience. The questions were very tough and I felt like I did OK not great but OK. The EMC rep calls me back and says I did very well. He sets up a phone interview with 4 men from FedEx. This is where it gets absurd. I get a phone call from a manager at FedEx. He then proceeds to conference in 3 other people. The second guy actually talks for 5 minutes about the fact that he has a medical appointment and will be signing off. 5 minutes later all 4 are on. As the interview goes on I can tell I am talking to 4 men who are probably 40 to 55 years in age. All are probably high level managers that don't really get down into the technical details but they are nonetheless conducting a technical interview on me. About 3 minutes after we start the guy with the medical appointment interrupts to say he is signing off. WOW. He spent a total of eight minutes on the call. Again I can't stress how these companies expect you to be the consummate professional yet they are anything but when they interview you. Back to the "interview". The whole thing is a mess. One guy asks me a question. Another guy starts talking while I am answering. I don't think I answered one question without being interrupted. I really got the impression that these guys were just killing time on the FedEx dime. EMC rep sends me an email a few days later that states the FedEx guys are going to pass on me. I want to say that this is a job which has been almost continuously listed on careerbuilder for 2 years now. It is always listed showing the job location as Orlando but when you inquire they actually tell you it is 50/50 between Orlando and Memphis. I also believe that FedEx hires a lot of people on H1-B visas so they are probably sabotaging these interviews with U.S. citizens so they can justify more H1-B workers.
