Colloquio preliminare con le risorse umane: dopo aver apprezzato il curriculum ed aver affermato che era perfettamente in linea con le richieste della posizione, prima di passare al colloquio tecnico con il responsabile mi è stato chiesto quale fosse la mia RAL. All'epoca lavoravo all'estero quindi il differenziale con lo stipendio in Italia era notevole e li ha spiazzati. Ho spiegato che ero consapevole che rientrando in Italia avrei dovuto accettare un salario più basso e mi sono offerto di presentarmi comunque per un colloquio di persona con il responsabile: mi hanno risposto che mi avrebbero fatto sapere ma poi non c'è stato seguito.

Phone interview with HR, they were enthusiastic about the CV. The turning point was when they asked which was my current salary: as I was working abroad, the salary was decisively higher than what they could offer in Italy. I informed that I was available to compromise on it and to visit them (travel cost on me) as I was planning to spend a long weekend in the city where the posting was open. They accepted the proposal, then a couple of days before the trip I asked for confirmation about the interview: they replied that the hiring manager was too busy to meet me, but recommended to inform them next time I would have been around.
