There were 3 rounds of interviews at the FDM assessment centre in London Bridge. We were initially given a short talk by senior management about the firm, their culture/ethos, background, and went over their training agreement. N.B. they fail to be transparent in term of telling you that you are only paid a basic minimum wage of £18,000 per annum following successful completion of the 9 week intensive training that you are expected to commit to on a voluntary basis. Thereafter, you are only paid, once you are placed with a client. So you could potentially be sitting on the bench for months without being paid at all, and you are expected to contractually commit yourself to the company for a minimum of 2 years, otherwise you are liable to pay £20,000 for their apparent "training fees".
The client can be anyone based at any location. You are expected to accept any offer and the first offer made to you by a client, otherwise you are deemed in breach of your contract and subjected to pay thousands of pounds worth of training fees. In addition, you might receive notification only a day or 2 in advance notifying you that you will have to move hours away up North to Leeds, and you are expected to find your own accommodation within such short notice, and fund this. The company DO NOT provide any support for accommodation arrangements.
That aside, during the interviews, there are a series ofcompetency and strength based questions, one IT test, one Maths tests and a verbal reasoning test. Fairly easy!
