I was contacted by email to set up an in person interview. The interview was fairly easy. Went in, filled out an application then interviewed with the manufacturing Engineering Manager. He told me about the position and the benefits then asked about my current position. Not too bad. He then showed me the shop floor and was told I would be contacted by his superior for an over the phone interview to determine if I get the position. The next day, his superior called and asked if I had some time but since I was currently working I asked if we could move the call up two hours. He refused and told me he was the person who decided whether I got hired but I’m busy so bye. He did not give me a chance to explain my situation and hung up. I called back and told him I was interested but was at my internship and he said that I’m busy so we’d reschedule. He then ignored my email and never got back to me. I think it was very unprofessional, especially because they knew I was currently employed.
