I was referred by my friend for this position.Within a week I received a called from the recruiter taking initial screening and scheduling my onsite interviews. Interviews were relative easy. Interviewer were nice, friendly and knowledgable, but the recruiter's response was really poor. The interview process went like this:
1st Round (Recruiter Screeening, 30mins) : I received a phone call, in which I was asked about my technical background, asked what Expedia does and some other question like why you want to join Expedia, why you want to leave your existing company,etc. He also scheduled my on-site interview during this call.
2nd Round ( Technical Round, 45-60mins) : This was my first round on site. The interviewer was late by 30-40mins, alot of questions about my current work was asked, then a very simple question on string was asked (although I was asked to write working production ready code without any discussion on my approach). The interviewer seems to be in a hurry to finish my round asap because she was running late already.
3rd Round ( Technical Round, 60mins) : As soon as my first round was completed, the second interviewer was waiting outside my room to take my next round. This round was moderately difficult but the interviewer was very helpful. He gave enough hints to solve the question correctly. (Maybe I took too many hints to get to my solution :( ). The questions were from DP, puzzles, OOPs concepts and some discussion about my current work.
4th Round ( Hiring Manager Round, 60 mins) : As soon as my previous round was completed, manager was waiting outside my room to take next round. He started with discussion about my current work, then move on to question like describe about some concept from high level details to a in-depth working details. Then, he asked me one question on algorithm design and was asked to write the code for the same, although he interrupted me when I was writing the code to ask some behavioral and situational based questions.
Then I was asked to wait for the recruiter to tell me about the next round of interviewer after lunch. Recruiter asked me to leave as I was done with all the round for that day and I will be informed about the decision within a week. But 2 weeks after my interview I didn't hear anything from them. I tried to call the recruiter who first contacted me (after a week), on my first call he told that he will get back to me after collecting the feedback and after that he don't pick my phone :(... So, I am assuming this means I am not selected for this role ( but this is definitely not a nice or highly unprofessional way to reject some one :( ).
