I applied directly to their website and received an email some days later to schedule an interview. The first step was to have an interview with someone in management in the company. Most of the questions were about the technologies I use in my current position. Some of the questions were fundamentals, some were more obscure, and I didn't know the answer to every single question. It was scheduled for a half hour and lasted around 25 minutes. He said not to worry that we ended early and that I seem like a great candidate. The next step was a second interview. The questions here were also mostly technical with some being fundamental and some being more obscure. Again, I didn't know the answer to every single one. A couple questions may have been repeated from the last interview. This interview actually felt a little easier than the first one. Towards the end, the interviewer said that it seemed like I have the skillset for the job which I had thought was a good sign. She said she wasn't sure exactly when I would hear back but guessed that it would be a couple weeks. A few weeks later, I followed up with them by email and was told they would not be moving forward. They said they are seeking candidates with more experience with their core application, Liferay, as well as experience in Portlet development. Note that they might not update the online application status.
