      Entrevista

      I interviewed for a senior associate position in summer 2019. The process began with an initial HR screener followed by two skype interviews and a written assessment. While the questions were relatively straightforward, this was overall an extremely unprofessional and frustrating process. First, the HR representative twice messed up the date and time of the interviews, which was quite annoying, and led to the final interview needing to be rescheduled. Second, in the final interview and in a subsequent message, the hiring manager repeatedly told me how strong of an interview I had and that she was "really really happy I applied." It felt like a proverbial 'wink wink'. Despite this, it took literally SEVEN weeks to hear that I had not been offered the job. This is after repeated unanswered emails letting them know I had other offers I needed to respond to. To make multiple scheduling mistakes, clearly lead someone on about their chances, then not offer them the job after nearly two months following the final interview, with multiple requests for updates going ignored makes me sort of glad that I ended up elsewhere. Who knows if this reflects larger organizational issues within the firm... Overall, Evidence Action seems to do great/important work and I do not want my experience to make applicants think anything less, but they should be aware that the hiring and interview process was handled extremely poorly.
