      Entrevista

      Started with a pleasant 30 minute zoom call with HR to talk about the basics - career history, goals, expected salary, etc. Next step was a 1 hour zoom call with the hiring manager to go over technical questions. Upon passing that, I was given a week to develop and deploy a "To-do" web application from scratch. I completed it, and after the review, was told I did well and that I would have a culture fit interview with two director-level employees. This turned out to be more technical questions and career background oriented rather than culture related. Entire process took about 30 days and was told I did not have the required experience in the end. Everyone I met with was super friendly, professional, and respectful. Feel like there is a disconnect between the development team (which is based in a different country) and the directors here in the U.S. on the expectations for this position. The job opening is titled "Jr. SRE" yet they want someone with non-junior level experience, which is pretty frustrating but seems to be the common theme these days with employers.
