After 3 promising phone interviews I was asked to come in to meet the team. Everything changed at that point as most of the staff I met with seemed uninterested and distracted during our discussions and the department head was absent in other meetings all day. No one seemed to know exactly what they were looking for in a candidate and it became clear to me why the position had been open for so long.
